GYMSHARK LIFT MANCHESTER

THE CONTEXT

Between Design & Copy, it was simply a case of making some noise to support the build up and launch of Gymshark’s ‘We Lift The City’ event, Lift Manchester.

THE CONCEPT

In a proud city, we wanted to put Gymshark on the map with regionally-targeted (yet authentic) creative that played on esoteric cultural references to Manchester and its people.

THE CONTENT

The visual and verbal identity was created to relate to, and resonate with, the history, culture and character of Manchester. One goal: create a connection between the Gymshark brand and the community attending the event.

Utilised in marketing assets, across the city and at the event itself, our event posters played homage to Manchester. References included Liam Gallagher, Manchester United & Manchester City and Bugzy Malone. I had to pretend to be a lot cooler than I am for that last one.

EVENT POSTERS

Continuing the theme of regionally and culturally esoteric references, we first teased that Gymshark were back in the UK (after a period of Lift events across the globe) before dropping the Manchester details.
